Paul Melo e Castro is Levehulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Leeds, where he is developing a project that focuses on the twentieth-century Lusophone Goan short story. He has published an article on Vimala Devi in Portuguese Studies entitled “The Last Snapshots of Colonial Goa: Vimala Devi’s Monção” (2009) and a translation of Devi’s short story “Nâttak” in Metamorphoses (2010).
