Abstract

This article addresses a subject rapidly becoming a major issue: technology and children's literature. This pairing may conjure up different images in your minds, so this article examines how technology is changing how we teach children's literature at the university level. In particular, it looks at text-based virtual spaces called MUDs (Multiple User Dungeons/Dimension/Dialogue) and MOOs (MUD Object Oriented).

ELizabeth Pandolfo-Briggs
David Beagley is Lecturer in Children's Literature and Literacy at La Trobe University's Bendigo campus, Victoria, Australia, where he teaches units in Genres, History, Australian and Post-colonial children's literature. He has previously taught in secondary schools, and has been a school and university librarian.
